Mississauga Humane Society Walk a thon, Sept 14 2013

The weather was perfect for the Mississauga Humane Society walk-a-thon, the sun was shinning and the park was full of people. We are a big fan of the MHS as they do not have a shelter and rely on foster parents to take care of all their animals, which help dogs and cats adjust to a home setting.

It is always so much work to try and raise awareness and funds for the food and vet bills they have to pay. I had a great time seeing so many beautiful dogs with their owners and awesome vendors. It was a great turnout to raise money for all the animals that need our help. Dahlia who is the owner of Mighty Mutt was there to provide tips, there was a silent auction and a Kids Zone sponsored by Electrolux who did an amazing job. I was lucky to see our first foster dog “Blue” who is doing so well with his foster family after finding out he had megaesophagus and little “Max” who is one super happy pup and loving his new adoptive family. We hope that the MHS was able to raise much needed funds to help the homeless, abused and neglected animals in the community.
